There is nothing like the new car smell. Not the tree air freshener, I am talking about the real deal. The smell you can never get back once it is gone. I decided to write this blog post due to a conversation I had with a long-time customer of mine about his new truck. Weeks prior he had set an appointment to detail the truck he has had for quite some time. He gave me a call a few days before his detail and said he would have to cancel. He bought a beautiful new one. I said congratulations may I ask what type of protection the dealer applied to keep it looking that way. His response was exactly what I was looking for. He said, “Well none, it is new!” Yes, the interior new, tires new, brakes new, etc… what about the trucks paint, and plastics brand new or new to you? Think about that for one minute.
The journey of the new car
Before you purchased that new vehicle what kind of wear and tear has the exterior of your vehicle seen? Let’s start from the beginning. The car is fresh off the assembly from one of about 71 assembly plants in North America. Or, it’s imported from overseas and headed out to one of the 14,000 plus new car dealerships in the US. Every single one gets transported by carrier truck, train or cargo ship.

Wear and tear along the way
Throughout the journey, the car has seen the harsh UV from the sun, snow, sea salt or rail dust. All of which are contaminating the exterior of your NEW vehicle. From there, it is now more than likely sitting in a huge lot in the elements for weeks or months with a rinse here and there. Now you picked out your car, and they pull it in to do a quick wash. Now you own it and will sit unprotected until you see it is needing some help and then call us. The name of the game is preservation in our industry. Let’s get your protection and gloss from the beginning. Enjoy your investment throughout the years worry-free. DON’T WAIT SET THE DATE!
