Many other wheel cleaners are known to harm the ecosystem when they get washed into our storm drains. We want the product to be safe for the environment, as well as do a good job. When choosing a wheel cleaner, we always choose the eco-friendly option.

Not only do we make sure the products we use are safe for the environment, but we make sure they will not damage your tire over time. Selecting the best products helps us ensure that no matter what the wheel finish we are working with, we will not do any harm.

Wheel cleaners that are chemically heavy in alkaline tend to dissolve the metal surface of the tire over time. These cleaners can work great in cleaning quickly but at the risk of irreversible damage. We choose non-acid wheel cleaners that are safe for all wheel finishes.

When to clean the tires

For starters, you will want to make sure the surface of the tire is not hot. Much like when cleaning glass, a surface that is too warm will keep cleaning products from working correctly. It is also an excellent idea to work on the tires before the rest of the car as getting tire cleaner on the vehicle afterward can be counterproductive.

  1. Spray
  2. Dwell
  3. Agitated
  4. Rinse

If you plan to apply tire dressing once you are done cleaning your tires, we have a post on that. Next time you are about the clean your tires, remember to avoid acid based cleaners that could be damaging, while eco-friendly cleaners are better choices as well. If you are unsure of any of this, try having a professional take care of it for you!
